Keep your eye on the mat
When you install a trampoline on your property, you should know that your trampoline mat is the most-often replaced part of the unit. Repair or replace?
Trampoline mats can be damaged with sharp objects, too. Holes in the trampoline mat will happen from time to time. The occasional hole will not affect performance, unless they become larger than one inch in diameter. When you notice large holes in your trampoline mat or fraying stitching, it's time to consider repair or replacement.

When opting for repair, evaluate the condition of your trampoline mat and accurately communicate the condition to the company performing the work. They may tell you that replacement is the safer option.

Look for quality
Shopping for a new trampoline mat doesn't have to be hard. A quality trampoline mat will have a burst strength of around 800 pounds per square inch. You should also look for at least six, or more preferably eight, rows of stitching around the perimeter. The threads should be UV-resistant, too. V-rings connecting the springs to the trampoline mat also add to its life. Some trampoline mats have clips or connections to the springs to eliminate the threading altogether.
